Our most powerful mixer for big batches
With its generous size, and equipped with our most powerful motor (1.3 peak HP), this heavy duty mixer can take on pretty much anything, with ease. To give you an idea of how much it can handle, the 6.9 L stainless steel bowl will make up to 14 dozen cookies (2) in a single batch. That’s plenty for even the busiest kitchen.
The high efficiency, quiet DC motor brings the necessary muscle to mix and knead dense and heavy mixtures. Even thick fruit cakes or sticky bread doughs are no match for the KitchenAid heavy duty mixer. Just throw everything in and let the mixer take the strain.
Bowl-lift design for maximum stability
Bowl-lift mixers are ideal for large and dense mixtures, as they are designed with stationary heads for maximum stability. The bowl is locked in securely to two arms and smoothly raised into position with a lever.
The bowl-lift configuration also makes loading ingredients straightforward, with no need to tilt the head back. So, if you make lots of cakes, doughs or batters, or regularly cater for large quantities, this heavy duty bowl-lift mixer is your saviour. It gives you the freedom and stability to create any recipe, even under pressure.
Speedy thorough mixing, every time
The KitchenAid mixer was the original home stand mixer to feature unique ‘planetary action’. What does this mean? The beater shaft spirals in one direction and the beater in the other direction to more than 60 touchpoints around the bowl, so everything is fully mixed in.
Like all our mixers, the KitchenAid heavy duty mixer has 10 speeds to give you precision for the job in hand. Just move the speed control lever along and let the mixer take over. Choose from speed 1 for a gentle stir, up to 6 for beating and creaming, and 10 for fast whipping. The slow start feature avoids ingredients flying out of the bowl when you turn the mixer on.
