Reuben Owen discusses breaking up with his partner
Reuben Owen has confirmed he has split from girlfriend and co-star Sarah Dow after more than two years together. While a guest on Lorraine Kelly's show this morning, the 20-year-old was quizzed about his new series Life In The Dales before the chat turned onto speculation about his romance.
Finally setting the record straight about their relationship, Reuben said: "Me and Sarah were together, we're no longer together but we're still very good friends. She's kind of gone her own way and is pursuing her own career.
"She does the odd day for us when she's not busy, but no we're not together. We get on very well and we're still good pals." Following on from his admission, Lorraine brought up his parents Amanda and Clive's split, which hit the headlines back in 2022.
The presenter highlighted that despite them no longer being together, they were still good at co-parenting and providing their nine children with "advice and encouragement". In response, he said: "Yeah, we couldn't wish for better parents, they're all very supportive of us.
"My dad and mum both come down here and give us a hand with the machines. They're always giving us advice and keeping us on the straight and narrow." Viewers got an insight into Reuben's relationship with Sarah on his Channel 5 series, in which she's seen mucking in with farming duties.

The former couple struck up a romance after meeting through their co-star Tommy.
Previously discussing the first time they laid eyes on each other, Sarah said on Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: "I met Reuben through Tommy, actually. We just got on really well and he taught me some stuff.
"I'm going to do an engineering course at college and I feel like I could adapt some of this towards that because I kind of know a bit about the machines now."
Reuben said he was initially "terrified" of Sarah to begin with as impressing girls didn't come naturally to him.

They officially began dating in December 2021 after being friends for several years.
Amongst Reuben's farm-based content on Instagram, he has previously shared occasional posts about his relationship with Sarah.
To mark their one-year anniversary in 2022, he shared a picture of the pair alongside the caption: "Cheers @sarah11dow for not sacking me off yet been a full year."
Six months into their romance, he also called Sarah a "legend" and joked that he couldn't believe she had put up with him for so many months already.
The pair's split comes just under two years after his parents announced they had called it quits.

Recently addressing family life after their split, the young farmer shared that his parents still work together at Ravenseat Farm and that "nothing has changed".
Along with Amanda and Clive, Reuben and his siblings rose to fame on Our Yorkshire Farm, which was scrapped following the pair's divorce.
Clive and Reuben later returned to screens with their own series Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben and Clive, until the latter stepped away.
Addressing his exit, the farmer said: "Dad worked with us when I first started setting up the company because I was very new to it and Dad has done all sorts through his life with machinery.
"He showed us the basics of how to keep everything going. When he saw that we’d got it and he didn’t really need to be there he went back to focusing on his sheep and cows like he loves doing."
A new episode of Life In The Dales airs tonight on Channel 5 at 8pm. Lorraine Kelly airs weekdays from 9am on ITV and ITVX.
